So, there’s not really a blog post today because yesterday was the HOTTEST DAY EVER.

If you think 113 degree weather inspired me to get into the kitchen yesterday afternoon in order to blog about it today, then you be crazy. Baby Girl and I sat very still in the air conditioning all day and subsisted on grapes and leftover stir-fry. And lots of ice water in sweat-proof Tervis tumblers.

BUT… this is a good time to let you know that I will happily take your requests. Is there a recipe you’d like to see on The Lexingtonienne? (For example, my friend Erin requested red velvet cake, and Katie asked for demanded Kentucky hot browns.) Is there something you’ve never been able to figure out or don’t have time to deal with, so you’d like me to pioneer it for you? OR, if you have a fabulous recipe you’d like to share with the group, send it to me and I’ll try it out! Email me at hannah@thelexingtonienne.com.

    Stay cool, y’all.

Well, our vacation week is over now.

    We laughed a lot…

Cooper and his Daddy (that’s Brother-in-Law Dan, for the uninformed) played together…

Happy Friday! Here is what I’m doing today:

Yep, the Duffys are traveling again… this time to Isle of Palms, South Carolina for a laid-back vacation with Mama, Sister, brother-in-law Dan, and precious baby Cooper. Hubba Bubba and I have tried to get lots of travel in while it’s still comfortable for me. We want to get out into the world as much as possible before the Warden arrives to put us on lock-down in December.

Speaking of the Warden, here is a recent photo of her. She had some umbilical cord in front of her face that day, so we didn’t do one of those nifty 4D ultrasounds, but she smiled for the camera anyway! As of last Friday (when this photo was taken), she weighed 1 pound, 9 ounces. And I weighed 101 pounds, 9 ounces. 😉

I’m hoping to be able to blog next week from le vacay… in the meantime, enjoy your weekend!

    xoxo,
