How was your Easter weekend? Ours was jam-packed with wall-to-wall nonstop action. Friday night we had Hubba Bubba’s Philly Italian cousins — who were visiting from the East Coast — over for dinner. From left to right are Cousin Mike, Cousin Ann, Cousin Nick, and Cousin Elissa. You’ll have to figure out the ones in the middle yourself.
Saturday we were honored to attend our friend Jackson’s first birthday party. Look at this precious family.
The weather was perfect, and Eleanora had the best time sprinting through the park.
Jackson’s mama, Susanne, snapped this fabulous photo of my favorite 16-month-old. (Thanks for sharing, Suse!)
Of course Sunday was Easter. The Bunny himself stopped by our house again this year…
… and Eleanora went straight for her favorites:
Abby…
… and sparkly gold shoes. That Easter Bunny sure knows his stuff.
Cousin Liam came over for brunch.
But first we had a mini Easter egg hunt on the walkway to our townhouse.
I thought Eleanora might need some coaching from her cousin on how it works…
… but she was just fine on her own, thankyouverymuch.
She carried her basket like a purse.
And it took her about 10 seconds to find the eggs with the animal cookies inside.
We attempted to get a sweet Easter morning photo of the cousins holding hands…
… but when her stage partner started cutting up and going off script…
… Eleanora said she couldn’t work like this and marched off set.
Now here’s a rare sighting… all six of the California Duffys in one photo!
I hope y’all had as happy an Easter as we did. I’ve already heard from several blog readers who made Susan’s Hash Brown Casserole a part of their Easter meal and loved it as much as I do. If you weren’t one of them, you should try it out. With Mother’s Day, graduations, Memorial Day, and Father’s Day on the horizon, you have lots of opportunities coming up.
Stay tuned… a wonderful recipe for lemon bars is coming soon!
xoxo,
P.S. A special thanks to Pat Flanagan for monogramming Eleanora’s Easter bubble!
