I haven’t posted a blog in forever and have some catching up to do… we’ve been busy! First, my mom came to visit. (Can you believe my mom’s amazing hair? It’s so thick and shiny. I got my dad’s hair.)

EBD & Shae Shae Sept 2011

I took a break from blogging while we did lots of shopping. Lucky little Eleanora got all new clothes and a whole bunch of new toys, courtesy of her Shae-Shae. Below is a photo of Eleanora in her stroller while we shopped Montana Avenue. You’ll notice her face is unwiped, post-lunch. Unwiped is her great preference. At home she generally gets her face wiped despite her protests; however, in a restaurant (such as we had been in prior to this shopping trip) with people in it who did not go to the restaurant to hear a baby scream bloody murder just because her mama doesn’t want her to look like she’s auditioning for Les Miz, Eleanora usually gets her way. Unwiped.

Another reason the blog has been neglected lately is that, a couple of weeks ago, Eleanora went from scootching around to competitive speed crawling.

The transition to speed crawling happened so quickly (as is the tendency) that Eleanora failed to warn her dad that if he left her sitting on the bed for even a few seconds, she was going to Geronimo off of it. We thought this was going to turn into a black eye (see below), but it healed with vampire-like speed (True Blood, anyone?), virtually before our eyes.

And THEN… Eleanora turned 9 months old. Here she is on her big 9 month birthday, striking poses…

… and making a getaway. We are officially in the era where every photo of this person is a blur.

So that’s been life in our house lately.
