How is your week going? I have had a wonderful week… my mom is visiting. 🙂
Mama, Eleanora and I have enjoyed a few days as ladies of leisure (hence the lack of blog posts) — shopping, lunching, hanging out with Uncle Josh (who prefers to be called Eleanora’s Super Uncle rather than her Great Uncle)…
…and squeezing in a nap or two. (Try not to be jealous of my awesome hairstyle. A lot of people ask me if I have a professional come and fix it every day, but no, I do it myself, believe it or not.)
For this photo, Mama told me to “look down at Eleanora,” to which I replied that looking down at the baby gives you four chins. I think this downward glance is much more flattering. Only two chins.
Because we have been having so much fun running around together this week, I didn’t cook anything new. Instead, Crock Pot Gumbo made a repeat appearance in our kitchen in honor of Mardi Gras, but if you haven’t made it yet, don’t wait until next Mardi Gras. Make it any time! The sooner the better. 🙂
Meanwhile, back at the ranch (the ranch being Lexington, Kentucky, of course)… Seester had a sick baby on her hands this week. Since Cooper (aka “Big Baby”) couldn’t go to daycare school, she hauled him into work with her and emailed me these pics.
He eats strained peas.
He wears Pampers.
And he will litigate the hell out of you.
He’s Cooper Dickerson… Baby At Law.
And he found a typo in your email. Totally unprofesh.
Don’t worry, Seester… Mama is headed back your way as we speak (happy for you, sad for me).
That’s all I have for now, y’all. Don’t forget to make the gumbo (pdf)… it is REALLY good and so easy!
xoxo,
