I know I said I was going to stay away from the blog till after the new year. But my friend Karrie, who has a super fun blog called Covet Living, has featured your little Lexingtonienne on today’s Covet Living post! You can check it out here.

Okay, okay… here’s some Eleanora. She’s 10 days old today, but here she is at 1 week. (I know I should have made a “one week” sign and put it in the photo, but I’m new at this and still figuring these little tricks out. I’ll get it right for her two week photo. Once she gets into months, we’ll be wearing the “month” onesies for our photos.)

According to Robert Burns, “The best laid plans of mice and men gang aft agley.” As you might have noticed in the Thanksgiving posts, I am a chronic planner. And I had planned to blog about beef vegetable soup. And an awesome way to freeze lasagna. And then I was going to make Christmas cookies and post more Christmas playlists.

    But instead… I had a baby. 🙂

    Mama's Little Christmas Present

Eleanora Babe Duffy was born on December 12, 2010 at 11:16 pm. She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 inches long. Best. Christmas present. Ever.

So here’s the new plan, bloggies. I’m going to wish you happiest holidays now, and I’m going to go enjoy my baby and my husband and our first Christmas together. I’ll be back after the New Year with more recipes and, of course, lots of photos of Eleanora.

    Peace and love,
    Hannah

Many of you have told me that you made my mother-in-law’s recipe for bolognese sauce after I posted it on the blog, and I was so glad that everyone has liked it as much as I do. (Seriously, I could eat it every day. In fact, I think I’m due for a batch here soon.)
