Hey there! The Lexingtonienne is back from a visit to the homeland. It was my first trip away from Eleanora (long overdue, probably, but that’s just the way it worked out). And while E and her daddy got lots of father-daughter bonding time over a long weekend at home in LA, I got to enjoy a rainy Lexington weekend with these precious people:

Our family has been blessed this week with two new additions. Seester and Brother-in-Law Dan (and Big Brother Cooper!) welcomed Lucy Delle and Tucker into the fold on Monday.

Aunt Me can’t wait to get to Kentucky next weekend to give everybody a squeeze!

    Trader Joe’s!

    Posted in: Food, Life

    Dear Lexingtonians and Lexingtoniennes,

Congratulations on your newest arrival! Trader Joe’s is, like, my favorite place, even though every day at Trader Joe’s is busier than Black Friday at Walmart. I heard that when the Lexington Trader Joe’s opened a couple of weeks ago, the check-out lines went all the way to the back of the store. I hate to tell y’all, but it will probably be like that all. the. time.

Since maneuvering your cart around a Trader Joe’s is like driving the bumper cars at King’s Island, it can be hard to get in there and excavate all of the Trader’s treasures. So I am here to share some of my favorite Trader Joe’s gems with you so you can mine them yourself the next time you brave the madness. In no particular order…

TJ’s cereal bars. They’re just like NutriGrain bars, but cheaper and organic-ish.

We are BACK from our fabulous Isle of Palms vacation! We had a wonderful time with four generations of my family. The trip was a Christmas gift from Super Uncle, and all of us — Mimi, Papaw, Mama (aka Shae-Shae), Super Uncle Josh, Seester Haley with TWO buns in the oven, Brother-in-Law Dan, Cooper, Little Brother Ross (aka Uncle Boss), Cousin Kate, her boyfriend Patrick, Hubba Bubba, Eleanora, and I — loved every moment we shared together. We are so lucky to have such love in our family.

Unfortunately I spent so much time chasing a certain someone around that I was not the best photographer. In fact, I didn’t get a single photo of the whole group (which I will regret forever), and I didn’t even get every family member! So you’ll just have to trust me that we were all there. Here are a handful of my favorite snapshots, in no particular order.
