Do you know about the microwave popcorn trick?

Microwave Popcorn

It might be the best-kept secret I’ve come across in a while.

Microwave Popcorn

All you do is pour 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels into a paper bag, close it up (no need to seal it; just fold it over), and microwave it for about 2 1/2 minutes, depending on your microwave.

Microwave Popcorn

It pops up nice and fluffy. No oily mess to clean up on the stove. No unpronounceable chemicals from a bag of store-bought microwave popcorn. No special equipment needed. Cheap too. And it’s super healthy (until you toss it with melted butter and salt – highly recommend).

Microwave Popcorn

Y’all, this is the best popcorn I’ve had in a long time, and it’s so easy. You’re welcome.

EASIEST-EVER MICROWAVE POPCORN

  • 1/3 C unpopped popcorn kernels
  • Melted butter to taste
  • Salt to taste

Pour kernels into a paper bag. Fold the top of the bag over about 1 inch, then fold it over again. Lay the bag on its side in the microwave. Microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes (or press the pre-set “popcorn” button on your microwave if it has one) or until the popping slows to about 3 seconds between pops.

Toss with melted butter and salt.
