So I was just saying to Sister that I’ve realized just how active Eleanora has gotten because I never have time to blog anymore. I don’t even have time to THINK about blog posts. This is my view for a good portion of each day:
I also field a lot of requests for “UP!”
(Not all requests for UP can be honored. Complaints are referred to the Human Resources Department.)
Eleanora also frequently requires a spotter, such as when she’s sitting “all by herself” on the piano bench. Here she is playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She also plays Mary Had a Little Lamb and London Bridge. (Just kidding. She can’t play anything.)
Anyway, I wanted to share some photos from the birthday party Hubba Bubba threw for me on Derby Day, May 5. So many friends came out to celebrate!
We did a winner-take-all Derby pool where we drew our horses from a hat. Here are the revelers taking in the most exciting two minutes in sports.
And guess who won?
It was a perfect birthday from start to finish.
After all that excitement (and all those bourbon shots in honor of “I’ll Have Another”), this girl was in bed by 9 pm. Fantastic.
We’re heading to Isle of Palms next week for a family-wide vacation, but in between packing and chasing Eleanora around, I’m going to try to post a great recipe for pound cake. Perfect for strawberry season. 🙂
xoxo,
