Long time no blog. Since we last spoke, we’ve had a trip to Kentucky, a baptism, a six-month birthday, a baby shower (not for us!), and a couple of great recipes. We have a LOT of ground to cover, and I thought I’d start with the seemingly simple endeavor to get a photograph of two sweet cousins — Cooper (Big Baby) and Eleanora (Little Babe) — together. Here is the account of that attempt.
Seester (aka Mamasissy) started with both babies at the top of the stairs.
And then Cooper decided to scootch down.
Scootch.
Scootch scootch.
Seester tried to keep up with him…
… but he kept scootching.
We gave up on the stairs and tried to get just the two babies sitting by themselves. A challenge, since Eleanora could hardly sit, and Cooper could hardly sit still.
Cooper was feeling wiggly.
And then he became very interested in Eleanora’s pacifier…
… but Eleanora preferred to keep her pacifier in her mouth, thankyouverymuch.
Cooper didn’t see what the problem was.
Finally for a split second (I mean SPLIT), they both sat there.
Who cares if they were looking in the same direction.
If we could just get them to smile…
And just as we were that close to snapping it… Coop was like, “Hey what’s that over there?!”
And here we have it, folks! Two cousins together!
Success!
