How was your long weekend? We spent ours in Oxnard, California…
… with our friends Jeff & Devon and their gorgeous baby, Harlow.
It was beautiful there but windy and chilly, which didn’t stop us from enjoying the marina…
… eating lunch al fresco (where Mike wouldn’t behave to take a decent picture, so I told him I was going to use what he gave me. Here it is.)…
… and taking a wine walk. (For those who don’t know, a wine walk is when you take a walk and pause midway through to open a bottle of wine. Then you perambulate and imbibe simultaneously.)
Eleanora stayed as warm as she could in her stroller…
… and paused to take in the beautiful scenery and reflect on life’s mysteries.
That was the weekend, then yesterday was our anniversary. We’ve been together for eight years, three of them as husband and wife. Happy Anniversary, Hubba Bubba! We were going to go out to dinner, but were so pooped from the weekend that we decided to stay in and cook. Mike made that beautiful flower arrangement, and then we gave each other gifts. I gave him a Backnobber, and he gave me a wireless printer and an attachment for my car that lets me play my iTunes through the car speakers. Obviously we’re very romantic.
So that was our weekend and then some. Hope everyone is having a great week. 🙂
