The Lexingtonienne

Still not much action going on in the kitchen so far this week. We have been too busy addressing birth announcements…

… and getting our income tax information together (Look at my sweet little tax deduction!)…

… staring out the window by our changing table (this is a favorite activity)…

… and practicing our smile.

Below is not a photo of a smile — obvi — but it makes me smile. (Thanks for Eleanora’s super cute booties, Great Aunt Bonnie!)

On Sunday I did manage to get a roast together in the crock pot. I did not, however, manage to take any photos of it, so you’ll have to take my word for it. Here is a link to the original pot roast post. And here’s the printable pdf. I did everything the same except I added:

  • 1 can of whole tomatoes
  • 2 turnips, cut into chunks

You should try it and add whatever variations you feel like. It’s so good and so easy, it will make you smile. 🙂

Happy February!

    Aunt Hannah,
Please come back East so we can play with our new friend. She’s so so so pretty and has a perfect smile.
We love her. And you and Uncle Mike too.

Love baby Eleanora with the sunlight on her face in the first pic.

Linda, she loves sitting in the sunlight! I can’t believe with my pale skin and sunscreen obsession that I’d give birth to such a sun worshipper 🙂

I have to close my eyes and imagine I am squeezing her legs and touching that soft baby skin. I miss her and you and Mike!
