A full-time Elementary Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Clinton Township, MI, serving an elementary school setting focused on delivering specialized instructional support. This contract role runs immediately through June 11, 2026, offering up to 40 hours per week. The position involves managing a diverse elementary caseload within resource rooms and self-contained special education classrooms, including creative learning programs and next-level ECSC initiatives. Candidates will work with a range of student ages, from lower elementary to older children, in specialized special education environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education required; Masters or Doctoral degrees in Special Education preferred.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsements is mandatory; substitute licenses are not accepted.
• Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
• Proven skills in managing resource room settings and self-contained special education classrooms.
• Ability to implement creative learning programs tailored to individual student needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student abilities.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to monitor progress and adapt instruction as needed.
• Utilize creative teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and special education requirements.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, regulations, and reporting standards.
