Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An Elementary Special Education Teacher position is available in the Morton, PA area, supporting students within community preschools. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners with special education needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to approximately 30 preschool-aged students with special education needs.
  • Deliver services primarily in community preschool settings throughout the area.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation of student progress.
  • Participate in professional development and training as provided.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Early Childhood Education (PK-4) and/or Special Education in Pennsylvania.
  • Emergency permits will also be considered.
  • Experience working with young children with special needs is preferred.
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple community locations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Details:

  • Location: Broomall, PA, supporting community preschools.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Caseload: Approximately 30 students.
  • Contract type: Current School Year (CSY).
