Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bradford and Brookville, OH for a Ready Mix Driver. The Ready Mix Driver will be responsible for operating and driving a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver ready-mix concrete to customer sites. The driver will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the concrete and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the truck.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
   2. Safe delivery of ready-mix concrete from plant to job site in our modern fleet of Concrete Mixers
   3. Employee is required to go up access ladder to wash hopper and fins after loading and unloading
   4. Employee is required to be able to put on concrete chutes for unloading the concrete (approximately 40-50 lbs) 4 per truck
   5. Truck cleanliness is the responsibility of the driver and is a daily requirement
   6. Non-delivery tasks when time is available will include general cleaning, basic truck maintenance, use of small power tools, manual labor, and other essential tasks
   7. Occasionally operate other pieces of heavy equipment as needed
   8. Establish and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with customers, clients, management, and co-workers
   9. Comply with all CDL Truck Drivers' safety requirements and policies, as well as report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately

Qualifications

1. 1. Self-motivated, excellent time management skills
   2. Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, being reliable and punctual
   3. Ability to work rotating Saturday shifts
   4. Willing to work in all weather conditions
   5. Proficient trade skills including basic electrical knowledge, welding, torching, and steel fabrication
   6. Experience operating heavy equipment, including haul trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, and excavators
   7. Experience operating and driving a truck with a concrete mixer
   8. Knowledge of the principles and procedures for mixing ready-mix concrete
   9. Ability to read and understand delivery tickets and follow instructions
   10. Good communication and customer service skills
   11. Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections on the truck
   12. Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
   13. Attention to detail and commitment to safety
   14. High school diploma or equivalent
   15. Ability to read and write English
   16. Ability to use GPS

Requirements

1. 1. Valid State-Issued Drivers License, Class A or B Preferred, CDL Training Available
      
   2. Must be able to meet the Companys insurance carriers' requirements to be insurable, clean driving record
   3. Pass pre-employment drug screening
   4. DOT Medical card
   5. High school diploma or GED
