Pharmacy Assistant - CoverMyMeds LLC

Job Summary:**

CoverMyMeds LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy operations. This role involves assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in various tasks to ensure efficient prescription processing and exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with prescription intake, data entry, and labeling.
* Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing medications, and monitoring expiration dates.
* Process prescription refills and communicate with prescribers' offices for clarification or authorization.
* Prepare and package medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
* Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and generating reports.
* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all patients.
* Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience in a pharmacy setting (retail, hospital, or long-term care) preferred.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
* Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Basic understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication names is a plus.
* Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to ethical standards.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
