Base pay range

$145,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Role summary

As Hotel Manager, you will be the primary operations leader for the Lyle Washington DC. The Hotel Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the hotel operation including the full guest journey, employee satisfaction and on-property culture. Supported by the Regional General Manager, the Hotel Manager leads the operational management team in the development and implementation of the hotel's day-to-day operation. Ensures implementation of the group\'s service strategy and initiatives with the objective of exceeding guest expectations and maximizing profitability.

A key element of the role is building relationships within the neighborhood, with guests and key customers through personal involvement in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, being highly visible for guests and employees through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.

The Hotel Manager has overall responsibility for the hotel performance including guest satisfaction, on-property revenue generation, cross-/upsell, cost of sales, payroll and employee engagement. Success depends on working well with relevant internal and external stakeholders and the property and regional teams.

  • Operational Excellence
    • Develop and implement hotel strategies aligned with Lore Group\'s vision.
    • Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional service.
    • Ensure systems and processes are in place to support sustainable performance.
    • Maintain high standards across all public and operational spaces.
    • Drive profitability through effective cost control and resource planning.
    • Collaborate with finance and regional teams to forecast payroll and manage productivity.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement to enhance value.
    • Support proactive and reactive selling strategies across rooms and F&B outlets.
  • People & Culture
    • Lead performance management, coaching, and development across all departments.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, recognition, and continuous improvement.
    • Promote internal mobility and career progression within the group.
    • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Guest Experience
    • Act as a visible ambassador for the hotel, engaging with guests and employees.
    • Monitor service delivery and guest satisfaction, implementing improvements as needed.
    • Champion guest recognition programs and ensure service standards exceed expectations.
