Job Description

Established New York?based cruise line operating a fleet of high?end vessels on Chinas majestic Yangtze River seeks a Cruise Director for a diverse international clientele, to begin in March 2026.

The Yangtze River sails through the heart of China, a region rich in culture and history. After the completion of the Three Gorges Dam, the region has undergone an historic transformation and has become a living laboratory for Chinas modernization.

You will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a discerning clientele from around the world, and work closely with our staff to ensure the success of every cruise.

Role Description

• Serve as a liaison between passengers and local staff.
• Answer questions and handle concerns (troubleshooting).
• Help coordinate excursions and on?board programs, entertainment and lectures.
• Host morning coffee & tea, receptions and dinners.
• Prepare daily programs.

Qualifications

• College degree (Associates or above required).
• Must be service?oriented, patient, energetic, speak well and have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Hospitality experience helpful (knowledge of food & beverage, cruise and hotel operations).
• Language experience helpful, particularly German and Eastern European languages.
• Musical talent is helpful.
