Apply nowTheft, Fraud, Abuse and Waste (TFAW) is seeking a data-driven Corporate Fraud Investigator to contribute to the team's mission of preventing theft, fraud, abuse and waste globally within Amazon.
The Corporate Fraud Investigator will own diving into investigations related to conflicts of interest, bribery, fraud and other complex fraud schemes and working with Legal partners to close investigations. The preferred candidate has a track record of investigating fraud end-to-end and establishing new ways to detect fraud in financial data. You will work with other investigators, Legal, and product development teams to root out bad actors and work with stakeholders to enhance detection logic through machine learning and data analysis. This is an exciting role and opportunity that combines fraud investigations, product development, risk analysis, forensic accounting, and fraud analytics. A successful candidate must have the ability to dive deep into vendor data using data mining tools such as SQL or Python, quickly derive patterns and assumptions from the data, fully investigate instances of potential fraud, and communicate findings to stakeholders using varied levels of detail based on the audience. The selected individual must have good data analysis and investigation skills, and problem-solving skills. The Corporate Vendor Fraud Prevention program is one of many fraud prevention programs in the team with the ultimate goal of preventing fraud, waste, and abuse across Amazon. Key job responsibilities- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting, Computer Science, Operations, Business, Mathematics or Finance
- 2+ years of Finance, audit, fraud investigation or related experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both internal and external customers
- 2+ years using data querying large datasets using SQL or Python
- 2 + years using data visualization tools such as Tableau or QuickSite
- Good analytical skills with the ability to work independently while in a team environment
- Experience working in a high paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- Professional certification (CPA, CIA, PMP, CFE)
- Experience working in a high paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
