I hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving. We sure did. We were in Philadelphia with Hubba Bubba’s family, where we enjoyed a lovely Turkey Day with family & friends, had a big time at the fabulous Please Touch Museum, and devoured some seriously amazing cheesesteaks and roast pork sandwiches at George’s Sandwich Shop on 9th Street in Philadelphia in the heart of the Italian market. The Guy Fieri types like to highlight Pat’s and Geno’s on Food Network shows, but take it from me… if you ever find yourself in Philadelphia, go straight to George’s and have Mark and his daughter Audrey hook you up.

And now that Thanksgiving is over… let’s move on to CHRISTMAS.

I’m trying something new this year with a series of posts I call The Lexingtonienne’s 12 Playlists of Christmas. Each playlist will feature just one song, but in several different versions. It’s good to have options, seeing as the Christmas season is blissfully long, and you never know what kind of mood you’re going to be in on any particular day. Best to be prepared.

On the first playlist of Christmas I’ll start with Eleanora’s favorite:

THE “JINGLE BELLS” PLAYLIST

And here is our little Jingle Bells fan on 9th Street in Philadelphia, getting serenaded by the Mummers. She looks a little uncertain, but as soon as they finished, she chirped, “AGAIN! AGAIN!”

If YOU have a favorite version of Jingle Bells that I haven’t included in the list, share it in the Comments section. I always love song suggestions and know that lots of Lexingtonienne readers do too.

Jingle jingle,
Hannah

I love the 12 Playlists of Christmas idea and can’t wait to see what’s next. I’m so looking forward eating at George’s in a couple of weeks! I’ll be sure to tell Mark and Audrey that the Duffy’s sent us. :0
