My friend Katie is an intrepid soul. She has two amazing, lovely, adorable babies who are a whopping 18 months apart from each other. After reading my last post, Katie decided to show off by posting THIS photo on Facebook:

You can clearly see little Sean perched in the “big kid” part of the shopping cart. Look closely to spot baby Lucy camouflaging herself like Where’s Waldo amongst the yogurt and bananas.

Katie, I don’t know whether to call this courageous or crazy. You probably call it necessary. Regardless, I salute you.

How do the rest of you mamas do it? Send me photos!

xoxo,
Hannah

I spot her! Lucy is under the chicken, next to the cheerios. Meanwhile, Sean seems to be using the grocery cart gps to locate the cookie aisle. Hannah and Katie, you have cute kids.

Hi Hannah, what you need is one of these: http://buggybagg.info/ Once Eleanora is 5 or 6 months old, you will be able to sit her up in it (it’s got a nice soft pillow to kind of prop her up) so she can sit in the “big kid part” safely while you shop. Your shopping trips together will be much easier then! You’ll never linger over the toothpaste the way you once did — but you WILL get some semblance of fun grocery shopping back in the not-too-distant future 🙂

We still use ours and Caroline is now 18 months old!

I’ve got the solution, I send my husband! Now before you say I’m crazy (and believe me I agreed for a while), it took a lot of training and patience but he’s great now. He only gets what’s on the list and calls me from the store if he has a question. Now I’ll reveal how truly spoiled I am, he also takes Sawyer with him! I guess I need to go home and give him a big hug and thank you (:

Mike doesn’t mind going to the store and doing all the shopping… it’s just that I really like doing it. I always have. Is that weird? 🙂
