    My friend Sasha — a fellow big-sister who very accurately (and perhaps somewhat kindly) referred to me as “Type A” — requested a peek at the Thanksgiving playlist I mentioned in this earlier blog post. When selecting music for a dinner playlist, I like to stick with a loose theme. This year I’m going for a jazzy, piano-y, holiday-ish sound and keeping lots of Vince Guaraldi (most famous for scoring “Peanuts”), Oscar Peterson, and George Winston in rotation. I also threw in a taste of the Carwiles, a Kentucky-based couple who happen to be two of the most renowned bluegrass artists in the nation.

    Nothing makes me laugh more uproariously (or maniacally?) than when someone comes into my kitchen on Thanksgiving Day and says, “You must have been cooking all day!” All day? Hahaha! Try all week.

    Below is my Thanksgiving schedule. The festivities commence this week. (I know, can you believe Thanksgiving is next week already?)
